Our Environmental Promise​

Since 2013 we have made a promise to reduce our environmental impact. It has been a challenging few years to fulfil our promise and to maximise results. We are dedicated to further reduce our environmental impact over the coming years, and bring with it a unique and cost effective service to our customers.

Reduction of Paper Waste

​

In 2013, we started looking at paper waste. Even as a small business, we were using a lot of paper. Paper was being used for site inspection measurement records, drawings, quotations, communication letters, invoices, advertising, Photographs.

We are proud to say that by the end of 2018 we went 95% paperless. Most  is now done online.

Reduction of landfill Waste

​

In 2014, we were aware that a lot of our waste was going to landfill. We started by separating our waste, using lest plastic wrapped materials, and utilising recycling centres. In the past, a fence repair was for people on very low budgets or classified as a quick fix. 

Now, fence N Fix (as our business name identifies) specialise in fence repair. 90% of our work is making repairs to fences that most would fully replace. we offer our clients the option of a repair, and identify the benefits. on some occasions a new installation is required, and the correct specifications are quoted for, again prioritising our clients best interests and environmental impact.

We have lowered our waste by 70% since 2014.

Reduction of Harmful Gasses 

​

In 2015, we went one step further, We investigated our CO2 emissions and harmful gasses produced by our business.  In the past we utilised 7.5 tone flatbed trucks, diggers, dumpers, petrol powered work tools. Waste was burned on open fires. Concrete became the one stop shop for all fence installations. This had to change.

We have lowered our harmful gasses by 80%.  since

Final Statement

Over the past few years our business has evolved and changed within the environment we have worked. We have dedicated to put our clients and environment first. What was once a business that put profits and business growth first, is now a environmental leader within fencing maintenance. We have done this by utilising the skills handed down through generations, combined with  new practises, to provide you, with a cost saving, and environmentally friendly solution.
